Our client is a well known and highly regarded niche consulting firm providing specialised services in sustainability advice and assurance. They are well known for their critical, constructive and long-term approach that enables their clients to manage their most challenging sustainability risks and opportunities and to gain stakeholder trust. Those clients include ASX100 companies, multinationals and public bodies, including corporate sustainability leaders.
Thanks to robust growth over the last 8 years they are now looking for an Environmental Management Consultant for their Environmental Sustainability team. This role will combine consulting and environmental expertise to deliver corporate level sustainability solutions. We are looking for a thoughtful listener able to turn what is heard into insightful advice. You are courageous enough to call it as you see it, but your approach is always constructive.
To be successful in this role, you will have got 3 years+ experience in an environmental management or environmental engineering role, ideally with professional auditor qualifications and corporate climate change consulting/advisory experience and carbon management experience. Needless to say, a passion for sustainability and good understanding of sustainability and environmental issues, trends and standards are a prerequisite. Furthermore, first experience with larger scale, strategic projects is crucial to this role.
Highly preferable:
· Corporate level environmental management expertise
· Corporate level carbon management expertise
· Environmental and greenhouse gas auditing expertise
· NGER and greenhouse gas accounting experience
· Sustainability reporting / report assurance experience
· Consultancy experience
Desirable:
· Environmental management systems understanding
· Environmental risk management understanding
· Environmental compliance understanding
· Auditor qualifications
