President-elect Barack Obama has laid out more details about his plan to “spark the creation of a clean-energy economy” and create three million new “green-collar jobs” in the United States, BusinessGreen reported.
Obama has promised to invest US $150b in clean technologies over the next decade, though no details have emerged on how his administration would go about achieving that goal. Then last week, Obama outlined plans to double U.S. alternative energy capacity within three years, improve the energy efficiency of two million American homes and three quarters of federal buildings, and instigate a major rollout of “smart grid” technologies.
